Advocacy
The primary activity of the Salt Institute is advocacy -- to governments, customers and the general public; creating and providing information about the production, distribution and uses of salt, including the benefits and costs associated with salt usage.
Examples of that advocacy include
· Conducting research
· Commissioning research
· Disseminating third-party research
· Media interviews
· Presentations to groups
· Webinars
· Articles and op ed pieces
· SaltSensibility blog posts
· Oral and written legislative and regulatory testimony
· Participating in policy-development groups
· Participating on standards-setting committees
