Salt Institute references on salt issues
The Salt Institute has produced materials to help sort of these problems in many areas. We have also collected references on these issues, including published studies by expert investigators . Three issues in particular, generate the greatest public interest: dietary salt and health, road salt and winter traffic safety and water softening salt and the environment. Understanding their reports informs our discussion and moves us towards resolving our differences. Since we each have our unique personal perspective and affiliate in groups and communities with shared interests, it is natural that opinions will differ. We believe the best process for resolving issues is an informed discussion with all the facts on the table. A wise, but unknown, author put it well: "You're entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts."
