Salt Institute Membership Criteria
Regular and Associate members of the Salt Institute are companies that:
- Produce sodium chloride AND
- Sell sodium chloride
Thus, chemical companies that produce sodium chloride but do not sell it as salt, but rather as chlorine, soda ash, etc. do not qualify.
And salt distributors or manufacturers of salt products who sell sodium chloride, but purchase their raw product from someone else who produces it, do not qualify.
