In Michigan, new website shows live location of salt trucks
Wayne County today unveiled a new website that shows real-time locations of salt trucks and which roads they’ve plowed most recently, giving drivers a leg up on getting around during snowstorms. The county’s new site, compass.waynecounty.com, brings together live traffic updates, shots from state highway cameras and weather reports, but adds to it GPS-based updates of where plows are and reports of where they’ve cleared roads for the last eight hours.
