The Utah Department of Transportation is getting even better at storing salt used to keep the state's highways free of ice in the winter, reports the Salt Lake Tribune (Salt Lake City, UT).

A year after 33 of UDOT's storage facilities received awards for "excellence" from the Salt Institute, 41 department sites received that distinction this week at the annual Congress of the American Public Works Association in Columbus, Ohio.
