Contractor uses wrong chemical to treat Capital Beltway

After at least eight accidents occurred along the same stretch of the Capital Beltway Friday morning , the Maryland State Highway Administration is "aggressively investigating" what went wrong with pretreating the highway. It turns out they used brine made from magnesium chloride rather than from salt.
