After last year’s brutal winter, which saw thousands of cars gridlocked along icy roads around Nashville, Brentwood and Franklin, nobody wants to be unprepared to face another snowy mess. Leaders from Tennessee cities are separately pushing forward on new storage facilities to hold greater stores of road salt in the hope of avoiding a repeat of last winter’s ice-fed gridlock.
