Hanneman and Pires elected to ICCIDD Board
At its annual meeting April 20 in New Delhi, India, Salt Institute president Dick Hanneman was re-elected to the Board of the International Council for the Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders (ICCIDD) and Augusto Pires of SI member Salinor (Brazil) was elected to a three-year term. Satish Sohoni of SI member Tata Chemicals (India) also serves on the Board as does Dong Ziahua, formerly CEO of SI member China National Salt Industry Corporation (China) who now serves as president of the Chinese salt producers association.
ICCIDD Executive Director David Haxton was a featured luncheon speaker at the 2005 Salt Institute annual meeting.
