Audio interview: low-salt diets produce 37% more deaths
Monday, March 13th's Health Report by Norman Swan on Australia's ABC Radio National network features an interview with Michael H. Alderman, president of the International Society of Hypertension. It is billed as follows:
"A major study has found what many researchers have suspected for some time; while a low salt diet reduces your blood pressure, it isn't necessarily good for your overall health. In fact it may make things worse."
