The public remains fascinated with salt production whether deep in a mine at a solar saltworks or even at a terminal operation. On Nov. 27, the Long Beach, CA Press-Telegram ran a flattering story about Morton Salt's Long Beach terminal which imports salt from SI member Exportadora de Sal in Mexico's Baja California. Nice job, Morton Salt!
Every year the American Council for Science and Health produces a Thanksgiving menu as an educational piece explaining that our Thanksgiving turkey dinners contain a wide variety of natural chemicals -- all toxic in sufficient quantity and NONE toxic in our holiday feasts. Good move.
Morton Salt has hit on a similar seasonal education piece, reissuing its "Ultimate Guide to Brining" with a media announcement. Another good move to keep the positive story of salt before the public.
