Salt Institute recommends Canadian MPs create a "non-toxic" category in CEPA
Al Hamilton of Compass Minerals (Sifto Salt) and SI lobbyist Michael Teeter presented industry testimony Sept 26 at a House of Commons hearing considering reauthorizing the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. They reiterated the Institute's position of amending CEPA to remove the "toxic"/"non-toxic" classification dichotomy and called for an independent review of evidence gathered in CEPA assessments.
