Implementing anti-icing at the municipal level
At last night's TRB Winter Maintenance Committee, Rich Balgowan, public works director from Hamilton Township, NJ, noted that great progress is being made incorporating preventive anti-icing strategies into the snowfighting arsenals of state DOTs, but that many municipalities haven't gotten the word. He reviewed a presentation he made last Fall at the Eastern Snow Conference in Atlantic City. I've alerted the NLTAPA snowfighter trainer listserv that Rich's presentation is posted on our website with other trainer resource materials.
